Texas Independent Automotive Association Executive Director

Lee Roberts currently serves as executive director of the Texas Independent Automotive Association.

In this position, he is responsible for publishing the association's magazine and official website. He is also in charge of all internal and external communications, legislative affairs, media relations, and oversees all membership and administrative requirements on behalf of automotive garage and collision shop owners and associate members across Texas.

He previously served nearly 24 years in the U.S. Air Force, including 16 years in Public Affairs career field, with experience in management, supervisory, leadership, command information, newspaper editing, writing, plans and programs, crisis response, media and community relations, and special events planning.

He holds associate degrees in Avionic Systems Technology and Public Affairs from the Community College of the Air Force, and a bachelor's degree in applied arts and science with a public relations emphasis from Texas State University.

A highly decorated veteran, he has also earned numerous journalism and photography media awards during his military service.
