Membership Information


REQUIREMENTS

To join TIAA, simply print out the membership application shown below and fill out the information required.  At least one current member or qualified insurance agent must endorse your application.  Attach a curb-side photo of your business and dues payment.  Upon completion, send to the TIAA State Office.

If you do not know any TIAA members, please complete the application, attach a curb-side photo and payment, and send to the TIAA State Office.  TIAA will forward your application to your Area Director regarding endorsement.

Your application will be sent to the appropriate active chapter in your area for approval into the chapter.

If any questions arise during your application approval process, please contact your Area Director or the TIAA State Office.

  Communication

Members receive the Association newsletter each month to keep them up-to-date on Association and industry news . TIAA can offer members friendship and fellowship where business ideas and solutions to problems can be exchanged. Monthly chapter meetings include informative industry speakers.

  Scholarships

TIAA is constantly encouraging our youth to aspire to be future technicians and interns employed by you by providing several different scholarship programs. The state office represents the association and its members by attending Career and Job Fairs at the Junior High, High School and College Level. We are members of advisory boards for St. Phillip’s College, Northside Independent School District, Central Texas Automotive Careers Council, Austin Community College, Texas State Technical College, Tuloso-Midway High School, South Texas Automotive Career Council and participants in the Greater Austin@ Work Summit and sponsors at the Central Texas Shoot Out in Georgetown (a pre-VICA event).

  Property and Casualty Insurance 

TIAA has property and casualty insurance agents throughout Texas to serve its members. As a participant in the program, savings can be made through workers’ compensation, garage liability, garagekeepers liability, fleet coverage, standard fire coverage and inland marine coverage.

  Annual Convention/Seminar/Trade Show

An annual business meeting gives members the opportunity to meet and share ideas with other members in the industry. Also included is a trade show for members to view the latest technology in the automotive industry as well as viewing new products being introduced on the market.
